Nicolas' visual universe is born of the collision between the banal and the strange. Inspired as much by advertising, criminal investigation and creative boredom as by the refined aesthetics of Japanese engraving, he transforms everyday atmospheres into narrative, mysterious and poetic images. Through his compositions, the familiar takes on a subtle strangeness, inviting us to see our surroundings differently. Her illustrations seduce with their strength and ambiguity.
